Foundation Stress Bracing

Bowing foundation walls are an unfortunate reality of living in Missouri. Due to our clay soils contraction and expansion, pressure is applied to foundation walls. In certain circumstances walls can begin to be pushed. The only way to stop a bowing concrete

wall is to excavate the wall down to footing level and install a series of concrete anchors

to pull the wall back to its original place. Our stressbracing is guaranteed for 20 years

What Causes Bowing?

Freezing temperatures, improper grading, and excessive moisture can cause the soil around your foundation to expand, putting pressure on your foundation. If the pressure is great enough, it can push your foundation walls.

How Is It Fixed?

To straighten your foundation walls, our experts use dead man anchors along with excavation of the clay soil. These steel and concrete pours give you the strength to pull foundation walls' back to a straight position.

Prevent Soil Expansion

Once the dead man anchors are installed, we'll fill the surrounding areas with non-compactable gravel and a drain tile system that feeds to an exterior sump pump. This will protect your foundation from future soil expansion and moisture.
